“ Found this restaurant through Google Map and Yelps reviews as we were driving back to Austin from South Padre Island. Reviews dont lie. Food was delicious. Menudo 55 was full of flavor and so much tripes fresh diced onion and cilantro along with fresh lime was chefs kiss. Steak fajita plate 55 was huge. Steak was made well and tender. Rice was flavorful so was the received beans. Comes with some lettuce and guacamole too. Carne asada taco 55 very simple dish and the steak was the star of the show. Generous Portion of meat. For the price, this is a must. We even order 2 extra togo! Horchata 55 cheap and huge cup! Great flavor! Overall, it was a good choice for our stop for our roadtrip. The folks are very friendly. Service was quick. And for the price, this one is the winner! Also, they have great chips and salsa for all guests! ”

“ So happy I found this place while staying in town for the weekend! Best place to get breakfast tacos and burritos! First time I got the burritos and it was more than plenty. I ended up having leftovers so burritos are great to share in half. Next morning we got tacos this time and it was the perfect size for us! Theyre packed with good sized sausages and the bacon burrito had plenty of bacon CHUNKS not bits! and yummy cheese sauce with delicious green and red salsa on the side. Will come back if we are ever in town! 1010 would recommend! ”

“ This is a small hidden gem, in a small town on our route back home. We fell upon this place randomly 2 years ago, and it was probably the best food we had in a long time. Fast forward 2 years later, we plan a route to stop at this specific restaurant and it is still every bit as good as we remembered. Food is sooo good, staff is so kind and attentive, atmosphere is home like. Could use a few repairs on the inside, but in the economy were in right now, we need to have grace. Good customer service means way more and they had it. Dont forget to try the lemonade!! ”

“ What a suprise this was. We wanted a meal and drinks. They only served margaritas and beer, but that worked i like cocktails. The food was excellent. The salsa was great, perfect flavor, and not too hot. Service was awesome, and they were so friendly. The atmosphere only got a 3 star. Its a little shabby looking, but thats fine with me if the food is good and it was very good. I will go back if Im ever in the area again. ”
